Khajjaaya sweet

Khajjaaya, spelt kha-jaaya, in the south indian language of Kannada is a traditional sweet prepared for Diwali festival. The sweet is extremely popular preparation for the festival. Khajjaaya is a Deep fried delicacy. The dough consists of a mixture of finely pounded rice kneed

ed in Jaggery syrup. The mixture is then divided into small balls and rolled into circular cakes. The cakes are Deep fried in oil or Ghee, resulting in an extremely tasty sweet.
