Kepi i Rodonit: The God of the Sea

It is said that the name Rodoni comes from a God in the Illyrian mythology – The God of the Sea. According to mythology, Rodoni led this region between 146-150 bc. He has always gained praise by the Illyrians and his character has been made as symbol for immortality.

On the tip of the peninsula you find Rodon Castle built 1451 by Skanderbeg. Today the castle is mostly under water, and offers an interesting snorkel experience. The Kepi i Rodonit peninsula offers fantastic nature with orchards and wild landscapes. On one beach you can find a tent hotel during the summer, offering a close-to-nature experience. There are completely untouched beaches, opportunities for hiking, biking and kayaking.
