Kazakhstan travel

This is traditional Kazakh food: “baursaks” - balls of dough, fried in a plant master; аnd the drink “kumiz” - it is made from the milk of the mare.

It is very tasty, although a sour-milk drink should be drunk carefully - you need to get used to it)))

Hello @Ivi_Ge !

I’m very glad that I communicate with the moderator)))) Almost 2 years I upload photos to google maps. But I never had the opportunity to communicate with live people from Google. I have already more than 1 million photo views, but did not have feedback from users or moderators. And I did not know about a separate portal www.localguidesconnect.com. I am a journalist, photographer and videographer and I will upload a lot of photos. But I have a few questions:

  1. Can I write in Russian, which I know best? Will the portal automatically translate texts from my readers to English or other languages? Or is it better to make posts in English so that more people read them?
  2. What privilege will I receive for activity?
  3. Who can I talk to on some google maps questions?
  4. www.localguidesconnect.com - only experts see? Why do not they just know about it? I did not know about it, and hundreds of my friends who love traveling do not know about your portal. Everyone is talking only about TripAdvisor.

Hey @Madina_Travelmania ,

First since you’re new to the community, you might want to share a bit about yourself and get to know others in our monthly Introduce Yourself topic. You can also read these Tips: Using Local Guides Connect, as well as the Local Guides rules and our Community policy.

You can write in Russian and all of the Local Guides can use the Google Translator tool, which is enabled across the entire platform, to translate your post.

The Local Guides program is for individuals who contribute to Google Maps who like to help others to discover and explore their world. Local Guides receive benefits depending on their level which depends on the number of contributions they make to Google Maps. You can learn more about the program and benefits in the Help Center.

The best way to ensure you’re up to date with what’s happening in Local Guides is by checking Connect here and also ensuring that you’re receiving their emails regarding Perks, Contributions and News & Product Updates. Perks come and go and will vary region-by-region, so if you’re subscribed to the emails, you’ll be notified if there is something for you!

If you have questions about Google Maps first I would suggest you to Search the community because the same subject can be already being discussed or you can ask your own questions too.
