Hello everyone, I would like to share A story about an organization called TANGAROA BLUE They are dedicated to protecting our Oceans for the last 10 years and are very ambushes about how they record their wast collection data So I will be joining them on September 9th, 2018 and here’s what they got to say: Tangaroa Blue is teaming up with the Kathmandu Summit Club for a series of clean-up events across Australia in September 2018! Help keep plastic and debris out of our oceans and waterways. Sign up for a conservation event in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth. After the clean-up, we’ll categorize all rubbish collected and load the data into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative database. The Tangaroa Blue Foundation uses the data gathered to help communities create ‘source reduction plans’. This means that we can try to address the cause of marine debris at the source and try to limit the amount of rubbish created in the first place. Que bueno que te guste la idea @Jesi , no tengo claro cual puede ser el lugar pero podríamos pensar en algo como la costanera o parte de la reserva ecológica, para pensarlo un poco mas invito tambien a @MaxWalsh , que un dia comento sobre algunos contactos de la CABA, ya que este tipo de cosas es necesario hacerlo con permisos de la municipalidad, voy a tirar la idea en el grupo de WhatsApp para ver mas o menos de cuantos estamos hablando, si o si tiene que ser un día sábado por la comodidad de todos para poder participar, yo creo que podemos ser mas o menos unos seis participantes, si son mas mejor, pero antes de colocar la Meet-Up veré en las paginas de la CABA si cuentan con algún tipo de apoyo a este tipo de iniciativas, los mantengo informado.
@ErmesT , creo que se podrá participar en la gran iniciativa que iniciaste en Italia y se esta expandiendo por todos lados, veremos, deséanos suerte para ver si podemos realizarla…

I was thinking about Costanegra too, @FaridTDF , @Jesi .
The area is beautiful, I love it, and is very close to Puerto Madero (and to Google Argentina too). I think @ValeriaA will be happy to visit Costanegra again

Ahora yo empecé a cursar una materia que tengo que ir a veces los sábados a la tarde () pero voy a hacer lo posible por ir aunque se haga un sábado.
@Jesi@FaridTDF la reserva ecológica me parece un buen lugar… Hay bastante basura, más que nada en las zonas que están cerca de los lagos. La costanera ya de por sí es un horror… hay carteles que prohíben tocar el agua por estar contaminada. Creo que podríamos lograr algo bueno ahí Incluso hablar con algún ente de la ciudad…

How exciting @DavidTito !! Do share your experience as you collect and categorize what your meetup group collects.
Here in the US, we are working with one of the US National Parks and the Trust that manages this particular park, called The Presidio. They will weigh how much the group collects and provide us with a tour around the park as we collect. The October Clean The World - Connect Live 2018 Edition meetup will not be as technically run as yours.
