In Picture-: Kathak of Jaipur gharana and folk dance Kalbelia
Rajasthan is the epitome of rich culture and heritage. It also reminds of folk dance and classical music. One such classical dance form is Kathak, a classical dance form that originated in North India and comes from Sanskrit word ‘Katha’ which means a story. There are different gharana’s of Kathak and one of them is Jaipur gharana developed in the courts of the Kachchwaha Kings of Jaipur in Rajasthan. Another folk dance for which Rajasthan is remembered is Kalbelia dance.
