- Karatoya River is the main River of Panchagarh. The river flow 112 kilometers in Panchagarh district. The river has come from Sevoke Forest (Siliguri,West Bengal, India). The river enters Bangladesh through the area Bhajanpur Union of Tetulia Upazila,Panchagarh. In some parts of Bhajanpur area this river is known as Shao (Shaw) River. The river left Panchagarh district in The area of Khansama Upazila of Dinajpur District. From there The Original Karatoya River is named as Atrai River. The south-flowing current of the Karatoya river is known as Atrai. In the Nilphamari district also a River named Kararoya River (Lower Karatoya). But the main Karatoya is Panchagarh Karatoya. -
