Puri, Channa, Suji Halwa.

Hi LG friends.

This platter is served to girls on the 9th day of Navratri small girls are invited to the house who keep fasting then couple wash feet ? of the small girls, put red tikka ( Bhindi) of sindoor they give small red dupatta, gift & puri, channa halwa to eat.

Tip - Small kids are given this halwa made in pure ghee they add water make it little liquidy .

Ingredients.

Wheat flour -2Cup.
Boil Black gram - 1cup.
Oil - 2tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as per taste.
Red chill -1tsp.
Roasted cumin
Seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
Dry coriander
Powder -1tsp.
Dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp.
Green chilli -2-3 pcs.

Hawla Ingredients

Suji/ Semolina -1Cup
Sugar - 1Cup.
Pure ghee - 1Cup.
Water - 2cup.
Almond - 5pcs
Rasins - 10pcs.

Method.

Make dough with wheat flour cover it keep aside.
Take frying pan put oil keep on slow gas for heating.
When oil is heated make puri fry it put on tissue napkins.

Black gram

In pan put 2tsp oil put green chill, cumin seeds, salt, red chilli, mango powder, roasted cumin powder, dry coriander powder put boil Black gram mix well when water dry it’s ready.

Halwa.
Take pan put Amul pure ghee & roast suji /Semolina on slow gas when u get aroma put dry fruits &put boil water, stir it. Water gets dry your halwa is ready.
In plate keep puri, black gram, Halwa.

Serve with love.

Thanks for sharing ma’am. Yes it’s special menu for navratri after fasting. And we can’t use garlic and onion during this days as well in this recipe.

Here in Chennai too we follow the same.

Right from 2 years girls we do the pooja

The above picture is of a two year old girl child considered as Goddess.

The first day of Navratri 2 year old girl child, second day 3 year old, like that on the 9th day 10 year and above small girls.

Thanks, yes people don’t use onion & garlic for 9days.

We don’t fast. Every year I used to get prasad from. Friends but this year due lockdown didn’t get so I made it. Share with lg friends.

Thanks, yes it’s prasad we offer to Devi ma on last day, small girls are called we give them.

My friends used send me prasad as kids have grown up but in 25 years first time due to lockdown they couldn’t send. So I made for myself & family.
