First, on our list is Kansas City’s unique expression of art, Fountains!

Typically if you’re visiting Kansas City “KC” and want to see art you’d head to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, or a gallery in the Kansas City Art District. Kansas City’s beauty is highlighted by its aquatic showpieces; they can be found in almost every courtyard, parkland, and tree-lined boulevard throughout the city

Kansas City is known as the “City of Fountains” and received this official nickname back in 1973. The city reportedly has over 200 operational fountains which is said to be more than Rome, Italy! Every Fountain Day the 48 publicly owned fountains are “re-energized” by the Kansas City Board of Directors for the City of Fountains Fountains in collaboration with KC Parks Department. The fountains help highlight the beauty of city and in some cases, even supply safe drinking water to citizens, thirsty dogs, wildlife.

Second on our list is the Kansas City music scene!

Kansas City is also known for its major contributions in music. Between small, intimate concerts, and huge sold-out concert, there’s always a performance to be heard in KC.

Kansas City is world renowned for its #jazz and #blues roots. The city was born in the 1920s when blue singers, ragtime music, greatly influence the music scene. KC’s Jazz roots originated in 18th and Vine Jazz District but a number of Jazz venues are located across the city. Here a list of a few venues to see while you’re visiting:

It’s was recently listed one of the top classical music venues in the world!
