Kabsah- The Traditional Food in Saudi Arabia

Hello Friends, Good day. Now I will talk about the food of the Arab countries. Kabsah are very popular food in Arab countries. If there is a feast, there will be this meal. I was living in Saudi Arabia, so I picked up the food in today’s story. Basically it is Yemeni food. But in Arab countries, everyone likes it. Kabsah is a mixture of basmati rice and specially prepared meat. Kabsah are made with chicken, goat, sheep, camel or lambs, or even fish. The light spices are like biryani cooked in low oil. If there is chicken with Kabsah then it is called Kabsah dujaj and sheep or lean if Kabsah laham.

As like Kabsah another name is Meendi. A traditional food in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. People eat and enjoy. Mendi is made from a combination of specially cooked rice and meat under the ground. Rice and meat are boiled in the heat of a coal fire in a hole made in the ground. Some cinnamon, cardamom, raisins are given in the rice but no spices are given in the meat. After slaughtering goats or lemons, the blood is cleansed by rubbing some salt and oil on the body. Under the stove is a rice paddy, a goat hanging on top. Under intense heat, the body fat goes down on the rice. And it increases the taste. Restaurant Redan Mendi are extraordinary in the Shimeisy area of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Good quality foods is available at low prices.

Friends, Will definitely tell me how my story sounds to you, and I will be very happy.

Thanks @OmarBD bhai for sharing with us.

Saludos farid.
