The challenges we are facing:

Climate change

Pollution - plastic, fuel leaking, sewage

Animal conservation

Drilling/mining foe fossil fuel

Overfishing (mentioned by @TheEagleEye I missed this when my editing was lost and this was in my original writing:)

What we can do -

Don’t litter - and recycle plastics

Actively participating in ocean conservation projects

Support environment conservation organization

Support ocean conservation legislations

Educate the younger generation

This is our home and we can’t afford losing it.

We must protect it for ourselves and generations to come.

Thanks for sharing @OliverKIWI . I miss being so close to the ocean. Good points you make about how we can preserve the ocean. One addition should be that we all have to make an effort to stop over fishing. The large fishing ships that drag nets for kilometers. A lot of what is caught is destroyed.

I recently relocated from a place that was an hour away from some of the most amazing beaches to a place which is in the hinterland, so missing the beaches a lot.

They say life first emerged in the oceans and also that the oceans remain one of the most unexplored areas on planet earth. To be able to explore it in the future, it becomes important that we preserve our oceans.

Thanks for sharing great tips and some wonderful pictures of the ocean, @OliverKIWI , here is one of mine. Hope you like it:

Thank you! and yes, you are right! That point was actually in my original post - there was a hiccup when I published it. I missed out that one when I published it the second time - I lost all the previous editing I had done and I had to type everything again. I will have to add it and mention your name.

BTW, how long have you away from the ocean - I mean living. @TheEagleEye
