July at ROADERS.CLUB: Together We're Making History!

Dear Local Guides,
Dear ROADERS and Freinds,

Another month has gone by, and it’s time to celebrate what our incredible ROADERS community has achieved together!

A Fresh Look for ROADERS.CLUB

If you’ve visited ROADERS.CLUB recently, you probably noticed something different…

It has a brand new look!

The new layout is cleaner, faster, and designed to make the experience even more enjoyable. Many of you have already explored it, and we’re excited to continue improving it thanks to so many feedback I have received.

:globe_showing_europe_africa: One Million Roads… We’re Almost There!

Today our community counts 166 active ROADERS out of 182 registered members.
And together we’ve reached an incredible milestone…
Well… ALMOST!

Less than 42,000 roads separate us from an unbelievable achievement:

1,000,000 roads added to Google Maps!

Just writing that number feels surreal.

One million roads created by volunteers who simply want to make Google Maps better for everyone.

This isn’t just a number, it’s the result of thousands of hours of dedication, teamwork, and passion from Local Guides around the world.

We can do it… and we’ll celebrate it together!

:globe_showing_americas: 49 Countries… What’s Next?

Today ROADERS are active in 49 different countries.
That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

But here’s a challenge for all of us…

Can we reach 100 countries?

Or even better…

Can we have at least one ROADER in every country on Earth?

Imagine the impact of a truly global community, where every nation is represented by someone passionate about improving Google Maps.

Who knows… maybe the next ROADER will come from a country we’ve never reached before!

This could be a new task for our Captain @SholaIB ; create a campaign …

“Invite a NEW COUNTRY”.

Why not!? Come on Captain, let’s hit the road!

The Spirit of ROADERS Never Stops

Every year, right after the TRAC Campaign ends, we naturally see editing activity slow down.

This isn’t a surprise.

In fact, our Captain, @SholaIB , predicted this years ago.

TRAC creates an incredible burst of energy, and once it finishes, many members take a well deserved break before starting again.

But something wonderful always happens…

Some ROADERS simply keep going.

Week after week.

Road after road.

Their passion doesn’t stop when the campaign ends.

And today we’d like to celebrate those dedicated members who continue improving Google Maps throughout the year.

July’s Top ROADERS

:1st_place_medal: Khalid Almansour from Yemen. He is the “July’s STAR” with an incredible value of 1415 added roads.

:2nd_place_medal: ALG87 from Indonesia. With a 979 roads added to Google Maps now is close to hit also his next non official SAVANT BADGE! Well done!

:3rd_place_medal: MapTrailblazer many of us call him with his name Prasad, from India. He is working hard to reach the LEGENDARY non official BADGE adding 901 ROADS

Congratulations!

I’m sure that you are aware that your consistency and commitment inspire the entire community.

What about COUNTRY growth?

In the month of July the most grown Country is YEMEN with 1415 added roads driven by Khalid

But, have a look at this chart and how we can correctly read
Have a look at INDIA

  1. Roaders belonging to INDIA added a total of 1257 new road (Community +Roads)
  2. Among all the Indian ROADERS, Map Trailblazer was the biggest contributor (Top Grower) with 901 added roads.
  3. 12/44… In India there are 44 registered ROADERS but, during the month of July, 12 were the active one

Thank You, ROADERS!

Whether you added one road or thousands…

Whether you joined this month or have been with us since the beginning…

Every single contribution matters.

Together we’re building something much bigger than a campaign.

We’re building a worldwide community that improves Google Maps for millions of people every single day.

The road to 1,000,000 roads is almost complete…

Let’s cross that finish line together!

GROWERS of the month of JULY

Take care and enjoy life

Thank you @MarcoDavoli

Thank you @MarcoDavoli :folded_hands:

We are very lucky to have someone like you

Ciao dear @MarcoDavoli,

Thank you so much for another wonderful monthly update and for your constant encouragement!

I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these updates and bringing more awareness to the community. The new look for ROADERS.CLUB looks fantastic.

Huge congratulations to @khmansour1 for being July’s Star and to @ALG87 for an amazing performance!

I am really happy we are getting closer to that incredible 1,000,000 roads milestone.

Let’s keep going and cross the finish line together!

Good to see that one road has been added under my name. I made a target to cross 500 roads in 2025. But rate of approval is very very slow, so I couldn’t reach the target even in 2026. I don’t remember when I added that road which has been approved in July, maybe two-three months ago. So, for me it’s not worth the effort to spend time to find unmapped roads on Google Maps and then drawing them only to be declined two-three months later.

Thank you for your kind words, @PrasadVR
You’ve done amazing performance, too

Congratulations @SadmanRafid! Every single road counts when it comes to improving Google Maps. I remember Connect Moderator @ErmesT once said, If each Local Guide adds just one road, the collective impact is huge.

Ciao @SadmanRafid ,
I do and perfectly know and understand your “frustration”
We all had this moment when we want to simply give-up.
Me, Prasad, our Captain Shola and I think also Khalid.

Have a look at this table (please do not consider June)
This is Khalid, that today has 20.899 roads approved. He is able to have circa 700 roads approved per month.

His suggestion: create roads only on a clear area and do short road.

Maybe @khmansour1 , the new fast growing star, want to add more and share some “secrets”.

Do not discourage! 5 Minutes a day while you wait for your coffe…

Let me know

Take care
Marco

I love where this is going @MarcoDavoli, but we’ll soon need to call you the twin brother of @AdamGT. The Top100 Leaderboard series by Adam also has Country sections, and it really helps to highlight those small contributors who can’t compete on the world stage but might be among the best in their own country.

Don’t give up yet @SadmanRafid. Our efforts can remain pending up to a maximum of 90 days, but we learn more as we keep trying. My current approval rate is 16% which I agree is quite low. That means I get 16 roads approved for every 100 that I draw, but I don’t let that discourage me.

Hello @MarcoDavoli
I think the new look of Roders.Club is great. Thanks for the update.
Regard :folded_hands:

My secret is using javascript tool i developed it (allow me to draw 200-400). I draw short segment. I stop before shadow or tree. I complete approved one and review rejected. I put marker next to each edit.

Wow, that’s something unheard of. Can you please elaborate or illustrate if possible?

Vielen Dank @MarcoDavoli für die Juli-Übersicht.
