July 2018 Highlight

Hello everybody!

It’s been so long since i got back here in Google Local Guides. So to give a bit of an update here is my July highlight.

My friends and I were planning to go on a trip in the capital city of my country, Manila. So after 2 months of planning we finally achieved it having 3 girls and a guy as my companions. Our trip had a really tight schedule and we ate most of our meals and take frequent naps in the SUV we rented.

On the first day, we went to Tagaytay. It’s a 2 hour ride from the main city and since we couldn’t visit Taal volcano we just had a view of the place in the car and went to starbucks for some coffee and a game of Splendor. After a few rematches we left Tagaytay and went to Enchanted Kingdom, one of the famous carnivals in my country. I took an anti-emetic medicine before getting into the rides which really helped me a lot. I was really happy during this time as I never felt like a kid in so long. We took the Log Jam 4 times so everyone could have the chance to be the first person in the log and it was so fun and scary at the same time but it was all worth it. We also took some rides more than once, the thrill was too inviting! Hahaha The day went by very quick and we all had to go back to our Airbnb.

The next day was our most awaited day. We booked a tour in a Georeserve in Rizal. I don’t know how else to explain it but the place was so beautiful and it warms my heart to witness that the people there are working so hard to protect the place and the creatures that live in it. The weather was foggy - which for me was perfect as it didn’t tire us in our 4 - 5 hour trek. If you plan on visiting Manila I welcome you to visit the place. Each group that books a trip will have a tree planted for them and soon enough you will be invited to see the growth of the tree planted. Isn’t that amazing?

Also, they are inviting researchers who are studying snails as they have a lot of species there.

I’d love to talk about my trip more but I’m afraid it’ll be too long so I hope that you enjoy the pictures :))

Please share your highlight last month tooo! I’d love to hear from you
