Resume of my passion and idea with Google Maps
Dear Local Guides, my name is José Felipe, known as Dj Mib. I am from Paquetá Island - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.
Paquetá Island is a very important historical place not only for the city, but for the whole world. He received visits from celebrities as D. João Sixth, Marie Curie and even Walt Disney came to the Island, during his visit to Rio to create the character Zé Carioca. Although it has a rich historical and cultural value, there are few tourist maps and itineraries that have information about it.
I found in Google, the right tool to be able to register and correct information about sights, streets, beaches, trail and commerce in general. In a short time I learned how to use this incredible tool and I have registered several points of interest with photos and panoramics. And quickly they reached enough views and visitors to the Island.
I work an NGO in Paquetá, and in a few months, we will be receiving Google Trekker to map the entire island. We will definitely be putting the Paquetá Island on the map, for everyone to see and appreciate its fascinating landscapes and stories.
