Jilapi.
It’s one kind of sweet that is found or made in south asia mostly Bangladesh & India. It’s a sweet dish that is circular in shape, focused by centre and spreaded.
I have tasted many jilapis from different areas within Bangladesh. Once I was travelling to my grandpa’s home and on the way I found this shop. I’ve also heard that jilapis from this shop are very famous and popular. So I decided to taste and it was not disappointing at all.
You can find two variations of jilapis here. One is made with sugar and another with date treacle. One of the finest I’ve ever tasted.
The name of the shop is ‘Meghla Mishtanno Bhandar & Confectionary’. It is located at Atapara Railgate, Joypurhat just south of Hili, Bangladesh.
