Jiku’s Cafe in Varkala, Kerala, is truly a little gem nestled conveniently close to the path leading to the beautiful Black Sand Beach! 
You might miss it if you’re not looking, as it’s a small, charming spot with an inviting open-air kitchen. They’ve got a mix of seating, both inside and out, perfect for soaking in the Varkala vibe. What’s even more fantastic is that it’s attached to a small ‘Kirana’ (convenience) shop, stocking all those little essentials a traveller might need. Talk about thoughtful! 
Even with such a prime location, their prices are unbelievably low, which is a huge win! It’s no wonder that many of the local workers from other hotels on the cliff choose Jiku’s for their daily bread and breakfast – that’s always a sign of a great local spot, right? 
Their menu is quite diverse, offering everything from refreshing beverages and fresh juices to tasty chats, mini tiffins, and delightful shakes. Plus, they have a selection of ready-to-eat items for a quick bite. 
One of the most heartwarming things about Jiku’s is their commitment to accessibility – they have a completely accessible entrance, which is wonderful to see! 
And the energy? It’s simply infectious! A vibrant, young team of boys and girls manages the cafe with such enthusiasm, keeping it buzzing with life all day long. 
It’s a real testament to their hard work and friendly spirit.
