Coming from Caribbean roots as you might guess I love to eat chicken. Jerk chicken has been part of my life since day dot and if you’re from London growing up after school its all about a quick pit stop at the chicken and chip shop. So I am all about the bird life, whether deep fried, boneless on a bone, in a bun, rolled in a dumpling, whatever the variation I want it. At the moment I am obsessed with burgers, especially chicken burgers. There’s nothing like the taste of a crispy tender buttermilk chicken burger served with fries (the power couple). I wanted to expand my radius and find new places other than KFC hence the mission to find chicken. This is why I love google maps as it allows me to save the hidden gems that not many people are aware so if I’m in the area I don’t end up going to KFC I look at my map and find a place I’ve saved down. But I don’t want these places to be hidden I want everyone to know, so a lot of my friends get jealous of the snaps that I take. But I tell them not to be jealous but go out there and experience the flavours for yourself.
The best thing about the quest to find the best chicken is finding new friendships. I ended up meeting a food blogger at burger and beyond which is the best burger place I’ve been to in England. You just have to check the snaps to see the food they served was unreal and the ambience and aesthetics of the place was pleasant. Everything you want in a burger place you can find at burger and beyond. Just revisiting the memory of that place has dropped my tongue to the floor and turned my stomach into a roaring lion. Any way we spoke for hours about the best burger places. This new friendship has allowed me to meet up with him to review other food places and eat for FREE. Winner Winner! Its aa great feeling to be a enabler for other business over a bite to eat.
