Jerusalem has been for thousands of years the center of the universe, when the merchants used to travel with goods through the deserts from asia to europe and when the crusades came to israel to where jesus was born and where abraham isaac and jacob walked the land, the place has meaning in every single step you take in it. Everything meant something in some point of time. The reason the city develops so slowly is because the amount of artifacts found in every dig in this magnificent city. Living in a piece of history going to play basketball as a teenager with arabs from ramallah attending weddings in hebron and in bidu, realizing that conflicts are not found on the bottom level but are created in the higher levels.
I love this city because of what it does to people that visit because it finds a way to connect everyone like a big magnet.
The views the scenes the city each person should visit at least once in a lifetime!
