Jeita Grotto

During my travels around Lebanon in September 2017, I went to the Jeita Grotto, which is a system of two separate, but interconnected, karstic limestone caves spanning an overall length of nearly 9 kilometres (5.6 miles). Once in the cave, you will be transported by boat. The Jeita Grotto has the longest stalactite of the World, measuring 8.2 metres long.

Hi @TheEagleEye ,

This place is amazing, thanks for sharing.

In Hungary there is a similar place, in the Aggtelek National Park. There are some concerts during the summer in the cave.

Thanks for sharing @Petra_M , I wasn’t aware of that and now I know. Hopefully one day I can visit. We to in New Zealand have similar types of caves, the most popular is Waitomo Glowworm Caves.
