Japanese curry is ONE of my favorite types of curry in the whole world.
On your next visit to Tokyo, try the curry. The Japanese import almost everything, and then adds its own little twist to it. Take Japanese curry for example. Mild, aromatic, seasoned just right and perfectly suited for the Japanese palate. Even the chutney is uniquely made and goes very well with Japanese style curry.
You can eat curry almost anywhere in Japan and in any prefecture, but some places have exceptional curry, like Kamakura for example, a city regarded as a showpiece town with lots of temples and shrines.
There is dripping melted cheese in the stew that goes over the hot rice, oh god! And then, there are tender chunks of beef inside, too.
People stand in line for 90 minutes just to eat this curry, and there’s a line almost every day here.
Tell me about your favorite curry.
P.S. The melon soda with vanilla ice cream goes well with Japanese curry, and so does plane black coffee.
