Baguio City was built not only by Filipinos, but also by other nationalities specifically the Americans, Chinese, Indians and Japanese. Many of whom settled in the City of pines and never returned to their country. At present there are still a lot who migrate to Baguio city bringing their culture and food with them. Once such example are the owners of Chaya restaurant. A restaurant in Baguio that serves Japanese cuisine. This restaurant is an old house where part of it was converted into a dining area and a portion converted to a bed and breakfast.
What is so special about this restaurant is that their menu consists of authentic japanese dishes and every dish was carefully made showcasing the Japanese culture of attention to details.
