Jantar Mantar - Jaipur

Jantar Mantar stands up to its name everytime you visit this place. It is truly a marvel built by the king of Jaipur Sawai Jaisingh. The structures built here clearly boast of the rich and vibrant knowledge base on India since ancient times along with the architectural expertise our country had. Each structure has its unique utility and is used for time keeping, calendar planning, horoscope, astronomy and astrology. It is accuracy has been verified by the modern day technology. It is something each one should visit to know more about the grand history of our country along with intricacies of astronomy. A must visit place especially for kids as it will definitely mesmerize them with the science, architecture and history of this great country.

Our visit was at about 2.20 pm, a time when the sun was hot and blistering on a April day. The time on our watch was reinforced by the time shown on the sundial, after accounting for the correction due to the change of Jaipur’s location vis-a-vis the India mean (Standard) time.
Very educative both for adults and children.

Wonderful pic @amitxjadhav Jantar Mantar, The City Palace and Nahargarh fort in a single picture

I visited this place in December 2022, and during that time the climate was too pleasant. I enjoyed the Jaipur Trip.

Really Jantar Mantar is a great place for the people who loves Astronomy…

@SachinVijayan the only thing I didn’t like about jaipur is the honking system. People do honk in traffic here in mumbai but jaipur is horrible, they just honk everywhere.
