JAKHOO TEMPLE-8000 FT ABOVE SEA LEVEL

Greetings from bidyaworld. As a descriptive information Jakhoo temple is located on the jakhoo hill of shimla. There is a temple of lord hanuman and also a statue of lord hanuman is made. It is about 8000 ft from sea level. You will see intense scenery in winter seasons. There is two ways to be there 1-hiking through mountain 2-rope way. In non winter days you can choose to walk and hike there but in snowy days means in winter preferring rope way is better. The last rope way from the temple is 5 and changes according to weather take proper knowledge if you are going late there. It’s a great devotee place. The fore most important thing is be aware of monkeys here. Don’t take any loose object hanging or loosely. Pack everything in bags even the monkeys take the mobile phone from hand. In winter the whole area covers with snow and the scenery becomes very good and pleasant. The rope way for 1 person is about 700 including gst however it may carry in real time basis. Be there and enjoy your trip Thanks for reading the review.

Hey @bidyaworld ,

Thank for sharing!

This place seems great for people who like hiking in the mountains. I wouldn’t mind going there myself.

I’m a bit curious about the rope way you’re describing. If there is also a normal hiking trail leading to the top, how does the rope way work?

hi

as you have asked about the normal hiking trail , i want to inform all that there is a hiking way which starts from christ church and goes up to the high JAKHOO temple. but in winter the hiking narrow road is full of snow and may be dangerous and unsafe indicator, so in my view you should prefer rope way in winter and normal hiking route in other days.

thank you
