Jakarta MRT: Brand new thing Indonesian people start to rely on

This is my first post. Never knew that there is such a web where local guides share thoughts to help people to know more about this world.

It’s my first year to live in Jakarta as an university student. Never did I experience how people are actually dealing with congestion in almost every road in the city. But now I realize that it’s pretty hard to live in Jakarta especially with its traffic problem. Now it’s a good time that the government and the developer decide to start operating MRT this March.

My first feeling when I came to the station is awesome. Really awesome to be in station Dukuh Atas. If I answer questions to contribute to Maps about accessibility I will mostly tap yes es. There are wheelchair access, elevator and even toilets are disability friendly.

I prefer to use MRT as main transportation to commute daily because it really saves me from the traffic jam. It also saves more time that it can take me from Bundaran HI to Lebak Bulus for only 30 minutes. It’s okay to watch my video when I join the MRT trial run.

It’s one of the most congested city in the world. I love to share about traffic jam. Instead using Trafi app to get live updates about traffic in Jakarta, I also help people with their daily commute.
