Visiting Jaipur - “Pink City” of Rajasthan was one of the best places I have ever visited, And finally, I visit this place in the month of January end. I had heard a lot about Jaipur and their historical beautiful places from people, and I believe -

:sunglasses: You don’t always need a plan, Sometimes you just need to Breath, Trust, and let go to see what happens. :sunglasses:

I’m kind of guy who always plans well first to go anywhere. But this trip was never planned, reason lack of time and an unexpected plan to visit Jaipur, but still, it was one of the best trips.

Do’s (I recommend)

  1. Book Activa/Bike in Advance (if possible ask them to give vehicle nearby Railways/Bus station as per your convenience).
  2. If you are a student carry your College/School ID card along, it will help you to get a discount at many places in the entry fee.
  3. List down your places to visit in a day, it will eventually save your lot of time to decide where to go or not in between.

Dont’s (I recommend)

  1. Don’t dare to forget Helmet/Seat ballet/Driving Licence, Cops are very strict (Which is a good thing).

Enough talking let’s start the journey.

I reached Jaipur from Kota Rajsthan via train at around 7’o clock in the morning, Took Bike, and started journey by 8 AM. and here are brief about my journey -

At first, I head up towards “Hawa Mahal”, one case easily spot the place from the main road, the Best place for photography throughout the Jaipur (IMO).

Average time to spent there is around 2 to 3 Hours, Major attraction point for foreigners to see the art/creativity of Indian culture, you will find a traditional culture of Rajasthan there in terms of Food, Clothes, Jewelry, etc. On the back of this wall, there is a museum, Albery Hall, etc.

Then after taking tea and snacks there, I head up towards Jal Mahal, I was imagined a big Mahal in Lake or something like that but in reality totally opposite. It is old, not so well maintained Mahal situated in the mid of river and no one allowed to go there (as of now).

This is almost in the mid of "Hawal Mahal" and "Amer Fort". The average time to spent here is 30 to 60 min.

After clicking some pictures I moved towards "Amber Fort".

:heart_eyes: Beautiful roads always lead to a beautiful place. :heart_eyes:

The above quote is very true for this place, curved road like hill station, Amber Fort visible from far away from the road.

TIP: If you are on a two-wheeler bike parking facility is nearby to the entry. Better to park there.

The average time to spent there is around 4 to 5 hours, I have started exploring Amber Fort after lunch, you will find lot of Roadside vendors outside at the entry gate, or you can choose any local restaurant on the way to amber fort.

I have visited these places in Jaipur, if you still left with some time you can go towards "Nahargarh fort".

Thank you for sharing. I’ve seen so many photos of Jaipur on Instagram that I really would like to visit this city one day. Just a tip, you can link Google Maps locations to the places you’re talking about for an easy way to check it out on the maps.

What is Hawa Mahal? Is it a temple? It’s probably the most known building there and really beautiful. Why do they call it the Pink City? The details on each building is incredible and your photos are really great too.

That’s a great idea of adding Google Map Location, ill update that in some time.

I won’t say it’s a temple, But an old and very beautiful building also one of the best-known places of Jaipur to visit, constructed with Red/pink stones/bricks, with very beautiful creativity.

I won’t go in detail about why Jaipur is called Pink City, for more on that you will plenty of content here https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Jaipur-called-the-pink-city .

My favorite place in Jaipur is “Amber Fort”, reason being it’s being constructed in such a large area, following by beautiful roads, you can spend a happy time with dear ones.

@erpardeepjain , thank you for sharing beautiful photos and information, I’ve visited Jaipur 4 years ago, unfortunately It was raining :cloud_with_rain: and I took the photos from bus. I like Amber fort, the construction is amazing.
