Jabal Samhan, Oman

I visited the highest mountain in the southern region of Oman on 7 February. It was a beautiful hot day, although up in the mountain peak it is common for fog to set in often. Although it was foggy, I did manage to get some peaks of the views. There was good walkway from carpark, which at the time of our arrival was overrun by quite a few camels which dispersed when we approached them.

You can see my review, photos, and video here.

Hello @TheEagleEye ,

Thank you for sharing this amazing location and photo with us.

The view from the peak is incredible, everything seems so small! How did you get there?

Are there any organized tours going to this particular destination?

Thanks for comment @BorrisS . I went by car with a local Omani tour guide. He was absolutely fantastic and we have kept in contact since.

There are several tour companies in Salalah that do tours to the East and West of Salalah. The guide my wife and I had the second day was Czech, and he was great also and speaks fluent Arabic.
