It's time to help our community! Now we need Sri Lanka Local Guides to map pharmacies

The Health Promotion Bureau, Ministry of Health, has identified 821 pharmacies around the country to deliver the drugs to doorsteps of patients during this difficult period. This is a good opportunity for Sri Lanka Local Guides to help their local community.

The archaeology.lk and Sri Lanka Local Guides have developed a web application to easily locate the pharmacies from a list.
You can have a look at the list by following this link.

Now we need Sri Lanka Local Guides to map those pharmacies. This will help patients to identify the close-by pharmacies when they order drugs.

This doesn’t mean you have to go out, you can just check the nearby pharmacies on the Map, which are on the list(https://archaeology.lk/pharmacylocator/) and share the latitude and longitude. We will create a Google My Map from that data.

Please PM me if you like to join this initiative. You can select a district and update the pharmacy locations in that district.

Great Initiative @AnuradhaP , I’d like to help to locate/to map these pharmacies. I can take Polonnaruwa district for a start.

@AnuradhaP This is great. This would help lot of patients during this hard time. I love to contribute to update pharmacies. I have sent a PM and an email mentioning my preference district. Thank you for doing this.

FYI this is how I did. let us know if there are more convenient methods.
steps:
Find the relevant pharmacy in maps. There could be multiple with the same name. So make sure you get the correct one - tip: use the sub-area with the pharmacy name when you search.
When you find the spot, right-click on the drop pin and click “What’s here ?” from the menu. Then you’ll get a small popup with latitude longitude detail. Click on it and it will open up.
Copy the latitude and longitude details form there. Please see the SS below
