Its Kodaikanal: Queen of Hills

It was Friday when I was in office, and suddenly in the afternoon, I started thinking about what I am going to do this weekend. I asked to google for some gateways near Chennai for the weekend. Oh yeah, I got too many search results and I was confused. Then I thought of myself what I like, I got the answer I wanted to go to some hill station and also nearby Chennai for the weekend tour. So, decided to go to the Kodaikanal, its overnight journey from Chennai and yes its a hill station and having a cold climate. So, I booked my ticket in the afternoon for Kodaikanal by bus. I prefer travelling by train but it was fully booked, so I decided on going by bus. Then also I booked the hotel for a day.

I left the office in the evening, went to my room and packed my bag in a hurry. I left the room to catch the bus which was scheduled at 10 PM from Tambaram. After travelling 2 and a half hour on the local bus and auto, finally, I managed to catch the bus.

I was totally tired, so I had good sleep in a semi-sleeper bus.

I woke up when the bus stopped at rest point in the morning 5’o clock, it had reached Kodai road and started climbing the hill for Kodaikanal. As the bus going up the hill the temperature starts falling down and also it was morning time, the sun started coming up. The view was awesome, as it was so scenic that it reminds me of making the scenic sketch of mountains, lake, trees, and the sun rising between the mountains. The colour of the sky was switching from different colours. The sound of the birds chirping in the sky. It was so peaceful, you will get to know when once you visit this place.

After 1 hour the bus reached the destination. I took my bag and headed straight towards the hotel to get freshen up and start exploring the hill !!!
