It's International museum day

Hello community

Today is International museum day and this year celebrated with the theme “Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion”.

As we all know that all the museums around the world are temporarily closed due to the pandemic.

But Google and its partners have made it possible to access and view the collections of different museums around the world overcoming the geographical borders proving that Art has no border.

I would like to thank google and all other museums workers for their valuable contributions to the virtual tour of museums.

One can access the world of museums here Google arts and culture

I would like to recommend my fellow local guide to visit and experience the virtual world of Arts and museums.

Wow! really? Thanks for revealing this @Harsha_Reddy

As a museum enthusiast, I was not aware of this.

Did you know there are 42 museums including 3 children museums alone in New Delhi alone?

And in spite of living here for more than a year now, I have managed to visit just 3 so far - what a pity.

hello @TusharSuradkar

Yes! Every year the 18th of May is celebrated as International museum day.

I have stayed for 8 Months in Delhi and I know there are many museums but I was not able to pay a visit to any museum apart from the Red fort art gallery.

It’s never late to explore anything someday will pay visit to all of those for sure.

Thank you @Harsha_Reddy

I have come to know that there are 5 distinct museums in the Red fort alone.

I think perhaps the art gallery that you mention is perhaps now a museum.

Yes @TusharSuradkar

I have visited 4 of them and they are museums and art galleries as well.

If you are planning to visit then keep in mind it takes ample time to visit and see all of them so plan accordingly.

Thank you.

I am glad you liked them.

Sure @Harsha_Reddy I will keep that in mind.

Thanks for the tip. I agree, that to fully appreciate the various items on display in the museum, it could easily take several hours.
