Hello @LBro ,

Thank you for sharing this photo with us, the building looks very modern and futuristic.

What is this building used for, is it a cultural place? It looks as if it’s still new, is it open or not yet?

@LBro @BorrisS

The King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center is a cultural center owned by Saudi Aramco and is located at the same site where the first oil fountain was discovered in Saudi Arabia in Dhahran City. It is the first oasis of its kind for children in the Arab world, the Museum of Natural History, art halls and the archive center. The center of the tower is the Knowledge Tower, which offers educational programs for all ages.

The 80,000-square-meter Cultural Center building is complementary and comprehensive. Designed by the internationally renowned Norwegian company, Snohita, in a unique and innovative way that links the mission of the Center with its exterior shape, it has taken the creativity of the architectural design to new heights.

The temporal factor is also present in the interior design of the building sections. The basement floors are reserved for the past, and at the surface level of the present, and the knowledge tower above all paves the way for the future.

From the outside, the building is characterized by an unparalleled appearance in contemporary architecture. Metallic with a silky, sheen sleepiness.

World-leading companies have developed interactive technologies for the various departments of the Center to enhance feasibility and make learning in them a fun experience like no other. These modern and innovative technologies are adjacent to the building with the oldest and most beautiful, such as rammed clay, sand and gravel.

On the environmental front, the Cultural Center was built on the standards known as LEED (Leading Environmental Design and Energy) to survive for many years to come.
