Ital is Vital in The Caribbean

Our organs work best in alkaline conditions. Our plant based/vegan/ital dishes here in the Caribbean are mainly made up okra, pumpkin, quinoa, brown rice and starches such as eddoes or breadfruit. It maybe covered in a multi bean gravy or soya chunks (Not a big fan of soya chunks but they slipped this time) and a nice"green energy" :smirk: to compliment the meal. Not appealing to the eye but this type of meal is extremely healthy and contributes to our high rates of longevity in the region.

So if you are a vegan visiting the region and you are disappointed in vegan dishes, try asking for β€œital” instead.
