What does the Local Guides program mean to Me?
It is not about the place, it is about the experience, the idea of sharing knowledge with other people to create something bigger and better.
Thinking about the prompts suggested for this application, the most interesting thing I’ve done as a Local Guide or what means to me the local Guide program I realise that I am not this type of person. I am not the guy involved in the activities of the program, posting in the connect tool, if I didn’t even know what the program was about, I only wrote comments about the places where I have been because I believe in the idea of sharing and I still do it for the same reason. I strongly believe that collaborating and sharing knowledge is the more amaizing superpower that we have and when we all realised of that we will be able of anything.
With all this in mind, what the Local Guide Program means to me is the evidence of what we can do when we work together without paying attention to what is my share of the cake or how much profitable will be my work.
I am not so naive as to not understand that we have to work for a living, but the human potential will not reach its maximum performance until we can take advantage of all our process capacit, that is what teamwork means to me and that is what means the Google program to me, just connected minds, connected people facing the future!
