It Feels Good To Be Lost In The Right Direction!!!!

Hi Everyone,
I am Nishita Gogoi. I am from the northeastern part of India(Assam). I am a level 6 local guide and I started my journey with local guides a year back, which i found really helpful. I love to travel. I have travelled to many places in India. Though born and brought up in this country, it never fails to amuse me! The culture, the food, the people here are so colorful and vibrant!!! But after travelling to so many places i have realised that the northeastern part of this country is quite unexplored. but when i got introduced to local guides i realised that this is the platform through which i can help others to come and explore this place.
There are so many ancients temples, the river brahmaputra is the mightiest river in India, the wildlife here is awesome- we find the one horned Rhino only in this part of the world.
Below i am sharing some pictures-

This is a picture of the Kamakhya Temple, where people celebrate womanhood. It is believed that the deity in this temple bleeds for 12 days once in a year. At this time sages and saints from all over the country comes here to offer their prayers.

This is a place in Nagaland. It is known as Dzoukou Valley. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the northeast. The flowers here are in full bloom during the monsoon season. People can do trekking and camping here.

This is the place called Cherrapunji in the state of Meghalaya. The wettest place on Earth. It almosts rains for 24x7. Luckily it was not raining while i was taking this picture. :stuck_out_tongue:

P.S That’s my husband in the picture

I am not a professional photographer but from these pictures you can see that the northeast is full of greenery and is very rich in nature.
Also if you are a Non-veg lover this the place to go!
The food here is made without any spices but still is the spiciest That’s because you get the hottest chilli on Earth here itself. Its called The Bhoot Jolokia in local language!

This is how an Assamese Thali looks like!!! Yummmmmm :stuck_out_tongue:

So through Google maps and google guides i really want to help people to know this place better. And i can guarantee that whoever visits these places will never come back disappointed.
