Hi all! I’m fairly new to contributing, and trying to get up to speed ASAP.
I’m currently working on unlocking the “Fact Finder” badge, and have all of my “Answers”, so I went on a hunt for valid edits I could make.
I ended up getting 9 approved edits (more are pending), however my badge still says zero. In fact, my profile even still says I have zero despite receiving confirmation of the edits being accepted more than 48 hours ago.
How do you determine if your edit was approved or not. Judging from the splash screen shown after each contribution you are not getting the real info. The splash screen is only a motivating gimmick. You need to see the approved status in an email from Google Maps or in your edits contribution list.
Secondly timing can be an issue. The badge statistics and the detailed contribution stats page are infrequently updated. Some of them only twice a week or less frequently.
So have some patience and check again in a week’s time and let me know if things worked out or not.

Back to your question,normally the statistics on the maps profile should be updated in about 48hrs(Theoretically speaking) Nevertheless in reality it does take more than that. I’ll say please be patient and give it a few more days. If there is no major technical problems it should get updated then.
It could happen that its update once every week or so. Please keep contributing,don’t let that slow you down. If after 4/5 more days it is not updated,kindly comment here again. Thank you for your understanding
Thank you for your reply. I did receive 9 separate “confirmation” emails about my edits being “accepted”, and a few that stated that some others were pending. It also mentioned to wait, which is why I waited the posted amount of time before coming here to ask if something was wrong.
I’ll continue to give it some time, but I guess that would change my feedback to “someone needs to update the amount of time they tell you to wait” LOL.
I just want to say thank you for correcting any issues on the Casa Grande, AZ Whataburger. I visit there about every other month .
Regarding the update to your counts, we’re in the middle of a weird photo/video count outage. I’m not sure if our profiles are being impacted, too. So, I’m going to join the chorus and say, “Just Wait.”
