So sorry to escalate this to you guys, but… SOS … my earlier posts on same issue havn’t got any response or solution.
Am unable to add even a single new place since last 3-4 weeks, every-time the same issue. The Arrow button used for submission on the top right side of screen darkens as shown in attached file, but then… Nothing… nothing happens. And i’ve seen internet speed falls to something like 0.3 kbps or even 0.0 kbps even though other applications are running @ a good speed.
I am editing places also, then the same arrow button is working fine (like a hot knife thru butter) !!
Please find a solution to this.
Since i have already added at-least 30-32 places, so am sure am not making any silly mistake.
I personally feel this is Google maps app related issue.
We will make sure to check from our end. as just to be sure, would you mind checking if the missing place would have their phone number and website for contact?

Hi. Everything going well, so far, regarding adding new places.
But noticed two new issues: I’m trying to add an ATM at a location, but my submission is being automatically rejected. During submission it shows me two similar places (one in the same sector & one elsewhere), but they are different places. Already had my submission rejected twice.
2nd : Some people add places in local language, Hindi, for example. SO the place name is written in Hindi.
But when i input the place name in english, i cant find it & i think the place doesnt exist. So i go on to add a new place.
Any option to display such places to avoid duplicacy?? Since its not possible for me to search a place in different languages everytime! I also dont know how to type in hindi or punjabi language.
I am responding to your first question. ATM is a very sensitive subject, with a lot of “scam” activity in there. In my opinion it is very normal that an edit about ATM will be rejected, as it should be managed by the My-business page of the bank itself
I think what @ErmesT have shared would be an important remark regarding the addition of the ATMs on Google Maps.
In relation to your second inquiry, I may have a proposal that you could give a try:
In case you may operate on a desktop, you may first need to click on the Menu (≡ icon), then proceed to choose the language of preference (in this case, we may pick English). After that, do give a search for the regarded location, and you tap on the Suggest an edit of the place itself, then tap on Change name or other details. From there, you may provide the name in English.
If you are on a mobile device, the steps are similar, however you may need to change the language on the phone itself.

I live in Northern part of India where English, hindi & punjabi are the main languages. In India, language could change within 100 kms especially in you are in southern india e.g., tamil, malayalam, kannada, bengali etc depending upon your location.
I search for a specific place in english as am comfy in english. But the same place has been added in hindi by someone because it was their default Google maps language.
Since i cant see the place listing when i search in english, so, here my issue starts.
Yes, i can try searching for same place in hindi as well as punjabi too, but just imagine if i am travelling in Southern india…
I know, this thing’s a little bit complicated, but, wanted to bring to your notice. Maybe some solution will come up.
I added two places around 45 mins ago. I got the confirmation of submission (where it displays 15 points added), but the places are not yet showing in my edits section.
