The first meet-up shall be on Tenerife (most likely La Laguna), but we should also organize one in Gran Canaria before the end of the year. Perhaps you wish to help to organize that one. I am available to come to GC in the 2nd half of November.

As co-moderator of our Canarias Local Guides community, I would like to organize the first meet-ups in Gran Canaria.
Since I do not live on Gran Canaria, I need your help!
The plan is to do one meet-up in a meeting room (preferably with beamer) where we can discuss our activities/ plans and organize the Gran Canaria chapter of our community.
I would like to co-organize one food crawl in Las Palmas and one in near the resorts in the South. Combining them with photo walks and map editing after or before the meal would be great.
Please help me with organizing a meeting room, perhaps you get permission to use facilities at work or think about contacts you might have at the university, etc.?
I am available from Monday 20 November until Friday the 24th. I shall specifically travel to meet Local Guides in Gran Canaria, so I am flexible and also open for private meetings one-to-one during that week.

I live in Fuerteventura. I am just around Las Palmas for WOMAD in some weeks after that on business abroad.
If I would organize a meeting for local guides and would need a room I would ask a Co-Working Space for a deal: Meeting room against a fair Google Maps review from all of the participants. I mean, that’s nothing to give a room for that publicity in a good target group.
Here are some tipps:
This one is near Playa Canteras – if you look for hip dining than that is also a good location to start roaming. The Mercado del Puerto is near and also Santa Catalina.
Nearer to Santa Catalina is
but I like the above area more.
And I would recommend not the miss
Even it is in a major touristic area it’s a great place to go for a beer and have lomo con ajo. I am always surprised that it is crowded by locals and not tourists,

I shall visit Fuerteventura in December for a short holiday taking the car from Tenerife to Lanzarote. Perhaps we could meet then and organize and co-organize a Meet-Up on Fuerteventura.
We are planning to set-up a team with committee members/ moderators on every island and have team-meetings via Hangouts. Let me know if you are interested to be the Moderator for Fuerteventura for our Canarias Local Guides community. Would be great to have you on the team.
