Thanks. I live nearby this place. This is one of the top tourist spots in Tiruchirappalli which is frequented by the tourists. It is often referred to as the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world occupying an area of 156 acres. The Ranganathar swamy Temple complex with 49 shrines, all dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is so huge that it is like a city within itself.
