Is this the right place to ask questions about contributing to street view?

Hello All.

Is this the right place to ask questions about contributing to street view?

I’ve submitted over 50 360 photos, become a trusted photographer, and according to the app, some of these photos have had views. But I cannot see them on either Google Earth nor on Google Maps; no blue dots, no blue lines for those I have connected. Over a week has passed.

When positioning a 360 photo on the map in the Street View app, a preview normally appears at the bottom of the screen so that you can set north. Once published, these preview view boxes have become greyed out. This makes them very difficult to re-position or connect.

Some photos have been rejected, possibly because I forgot to set north. I tried to delete these but they remain in my street view app profile, making it very difficult to connect their replacements as the deleted ones get in the way. When I view delete 360 photos in the app they fail to load and I just see a black screen instead.

Other photo’s have been rejected, but I don’t know why. They are taken inside a narrow foot tunnel with graffiti on the walls, but nothing offensive as far as I can tell. Any ideas why?

Is all this normal, something I’m doing wrong, or a problem with a manual process at Google due to Covid-19 staff shortages?

Kind regards

Derek
