I’m surprised there doesn’t seem to be much London or UK activity and wondered whether anyone out there wants to help me change that? (Or point me in the right direction if I’m missing it.)
If there’s nothing planned I don’t mind trying to play host and planning something in the near future: I’m thinking perhaps a get together for food, followed by a short trip around some of the sights for photo opportunities.
Full disclosure: I got the email about Connect Live 2019 and it sounded interesting so I’m kind of planning to up my activity levels around these parts.
This is something I’ve wondered for a little while myself now! Very rarely see local guides or contributors from around here! I’d be interested in a London meetup potentially depending on date and times of course!

Hi everyone. A brief update: After writing this I discovered that a meetup happened in November. Not wanting to step on anybody’s toes, I got in touch with the person who had posted about it. She said that a number of local guides had moved elsewhere and invited me to join them on their forum. Having done that, I haven’t really felt I wanted to get involved there as the meetups are not local guide focused, just general London get togethers.
Therefore, I think we’re back in business! I am planning to organise a meetup on 13th April. How does that date sound? Any suggestions as to what and where would be gratefully received, but initially I’m thinking: meet for a quick lunch somewhere fairly central, then head to somewhere to do some intensive fact checking, maybe focusing on wheelchair accessibility, and taking pictures along the way.
