My second Topic so far - Whilst working on getting Master Trailblazer (Places), I stumbled across someone’s work with missing facts and incorrect Category. Where I am trying to create, with a website and photos, these had no websites, no photos and the wrong Category in context. Most were also un-reviewed, as likely they wouldn’t show up in a normal Google users search. They were all created as Public Baths, which in the UK is typically a building with a swimming pool and not a bath house. In any case they were actually costal beaches and shorelines, in fact lots are no more than inlets. So I have been fixing to the best of my abilities as follows:
- Re categorising as “Tourist Attraction” which seems appropriate.
- Removing an occasional duplicates that clash with existing “Beach Resort” (where it is a beach resort e.g. with Caravan Parks immediately behind.
- Adding websites if available.
- Renaming properly where confusion is caused (as some Historic Landmarks were being reviewed as the adjacent beach, rather than the actual beach).
Does the community know if there is a Role that’s actually checking maps, that has more tools that show up lists by Category, rather then someone like me and likely lots of other normal users using the basic search. If there is a Role how do you contact these folks to get a Global Change done, rather than me/us doing it one at a time. As I feel I have to fix these before creating any more.
