Is the Street View Trusted Photographer back yet? (9th Nov 2020)

I just want to know if the program is back yet, I’ve heard that it was stopped for improvements but there is no official update of anything on any Google website. I asked this same question in the Google maps help forum (https://support.google.com/maps/thread/81826483?hl=en#)) and one reply from there have brought me here to the local guide connect website.

So, can anyone please inform if the Google Trusted Photographer is back yet? (9th Nov 2020)

Thank you in advance

The Street View Trusted program never disappeared, @anuragrw

As you can read in Publish and connect 360 photos with the Street View app you can be

invited to join the Local Guides program as a trusted professional. You will also have access to an exclusive Street View trusted photographer forum on Local Guides Connect. To see if you’ve been invited, check the Street View app.

To get the trusted badge and be listed on the for-hire index, fill out the form that’s emailed to you and turn on the for-hire setting.

The program is migrating on a different platform, but the rules to become a Street View Trusted Photographer are not changed

You are welcome, @anuragrw .

The confusion is why they sent you here in Local Guides Connect.

The situation have been discussed continuosly in the latest months, so we have a clear situation of the evolution of the Street View Trusted Photographers program

What has been stopped @anuragrw is the updating of the For Hire list.

The Street View forums will also be leaving Connect on 17th of November.

Yes, right @ErmesT

You were a big help here  :+1:

Oh, Okay @PaulPavlinovich .

so, will I not be able to make into the For-Hire List when I reach my 50, 360 photos mark?

The migration is active now, @anuragrw , even if the revamping is not completed yet.

So you can take your 50 photos and get your badge, then, when everything will be ready, you will be able to be added on the list

As friend @ErmesT has said, you can certainly qualify for it but won’t be able to join the list until Street View completes the work they are doing.

Watch out for announcements from the Street View team.

As of Now, I have reached the 50 photos mark and I have turned on the “for-hire” option in the street view app. And as soon as I did that, I got an Email saying that I’ve met the requirement to be trusted by Google Street View, and that I should fill the form to get into the for-hire. But then the form says:

“The Street View trusted program is currently under revamp which also includes our sign up process. At present, we are not accepting any new applications through this form. Once the new program is officially launched, our team will inform you via email.”

So, I’m just waiting for the revamp to finish.

Anyone knows when that can happen?

Alright @ErmesT and @PaulPavlinovich , I took a note of that.

Can either of you guys please tell me if I can introduce myself as a Google Trusted Photographer? or Would that be a no-no?

I have received the confirmation email from google and my street view icon also shows the tick mark.

also I have received the badge here in my profile and have received the exclusive access to the street view forum.

First of all congratulations, @anuragrw

We don’t have a date. In any case, please check this link (you can see the exclusive board now that you are an SVTP) where to find more information

To respond to your last question @anuragrw (we were writing simultaneously) yes, you can introduce yourself as a Street View photographer, because you are a Street View Trusted, even if at the moment you cannot be inserted to the “for Hire” list
