I am happend to be a road mapper right from the beginning. But not limited to that department. Anyway, having contributed a little 45,000 over points, now I am beginning feel that road mappers and place editors are not evaluated with due weight. If somebody adds reviews he gets 10 points and if it exceeds 200 characters he is entitled to 10 more bonus points too! But what if a person adds a road of a few hundred meters, perhaps couple of kilometres? Probably, he has to wait for the approval and gets only 15 points. In most of the occasions ,edits are not approved! Shouldn’t Google think of a bonus point scheme for road mappers too? Thanks . Have a nice day!
Just scrolling through connect now and found your post. I believe you are talking about adding roads on the maps. I see you have over 3,000 roads on your maps profile. Congratulations man !!!
We have tried suggesting better points scheme for adding roads on the maps but we are yet to be granted that. Meanwhile keep working away. It’s worthwhile. Would you like to join our community of adding roads on the maps called TRAC ?

I agree with you that the number of points awarded for each type of contribution could use an update. My favorite complaint is when we need to update the opening hours. There is a lot more data to find, check, and correct compared to more simple edits.
