Happy Saturday. I was curious to see if Google Maps is still sending out socks as a perk to their local guides. I try to look through the forum and the last post I saw was from 2018.
Has anyone received socks this year?

Regarding your question, yes some Local Guides have received the special reward socks this year and you can read more about some of these lucky recipients in the Achievements topic of Connect.
Please keep in mind that perks are made available and these vary from time to time and from region to region and they are allocated mainly on your contributions. There may also be special and/or early access to Google features. For more information about perks, I suggest that you read Why be a Local Guide? and Question about a Local Guides perk email? I also strongly recommend that you make sure that you have rewards emails enabled in your Local Guides email settings and update/monitor your Gmail preferences as well as your Spam or Promotions folder!

I feel so lucky at being able to redeem my Free Reward for a Pair of Local Guide Socks!
Unfortunately, the One-Size-Fits-All mentality seems to be in effect.
There was no ability to select SIZE.
I wear a size 14 shoe and size 15 sock.
I have doubts as to my ability to even get these (soon to arrive) socks over my toes, let alone on my feet.
I’m sure my wife will like them… but not me…
Why don’t you just send out Tee Shirts (size small) to everyone?
You know the answer to this question, because it (the Tee Shirt) wouldn’t fit everyone…
So in place of Tee Shirts, you send socks because they also won’t fit everyone???

Any feedback on the fit of the one-size-fits-most (they used it) socks? I am size 13 and have the same concern as you.
Just got an email today and local guides now gives you the option to select socks or a tote bag. Just thought you may want to know.
