I am thinking of starting a local guide group for the more rural areas of Southern Illinois, Southeastern Missouri, Western Kentucky, Southwestern Indiana. AKA “the Heartland region” These regions are more geographically, socioeconomic, and environmentally similar and attract similar people to this region. Tourism is a primary in our regions and having accurate mapping is vital. Major cities would includes Carbondale (SIU), Marion, Harrisburg and Mount Vernon, to Fairview Heights, Belleville and Scott AFB in Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Farmington to southern St. Louis county in Missouri, Paducah, Mayfield, Madisonville in Kentucky, Evansville, Vincennes, Henderson in Indian
