Do you know Panama? Have you visited it? Maybe yes, maybe no. Well my name is Maryleen and I am Panamanian and I can help you giving a tour into my country.
This is how I fell now being part of the local guide community. Many people in my country use the Google maps application, but the problem is that we do not know all the things that we can do with this app. I used to use it just for finding a location and checking the traffic. One day I received the suggestion of being a local guide and I did not know what it is and what for, but I decided to join this community. This is how I started being a local guide and how I discover all the things that they offered to me.
I like to be a local guide because I can share all the beautiful things that my country have, but what I like to share most is all the food and good places to eat that my country have. Panamanians like to eat a lot, and if we find a good place to eat, we will go there again. That is why I like to share pictures of restaurants and sites in which we can get a good dish in a good price. Also I like to go with my kids so I write suggestions to help the community finding a good place to go with them.
Is my wish to share with others all that I do in maps but sometimes it is difficult because the people here did not follow the app like me. I decide to organize my first meet up, so I can find people near to me who share our likes about maps. I hope to be a good host for the meet and make many and sharing them on Connect, because of course I will share the pictures, the opinions, and all the good and bad things that we get on our meet.
Being part of this community makes me feel better, because I can help others and get fun with this at the same time that is why I like to share all my adventures on maps.
