Is AI for mapping and edit roads becoming to overly sophisticated.?

Hello,

I am a member of the TRAC campaign created by @SholaIB with the aim to create 50K new roads. I started from scratch and now I reached my first 5000 new roads.

I would like to share with you a feeling I had with the approval process and the NOT APPROVED I had that, in my personal opinion are really increasing.

Hope to find some hints or suggestion to do better.

Today I decided NOT to do any edits but focus only on the NOT approved roads; check them and re-edit.

These are my first two NOT APPROVED

This is one of the many not approved roads.

This is another one and the following is the way I “fix” the road

Any suggestion? did you notice any changes into the way AI is processing the edits?

Take care

Thanks a lot

Marco

Hello @MarcoDavoli

This is a long overdue post and thank you for writing this.

It has been very interesting to embark on this Road mapping adventure . It’s been a very good community experience for me as a community builder.

It has also helped us to understand a little bit of how the AI works. Although it does change pattern I’ll say.

  • Simple short roads often get approval quicker.
  • Adding roads on desktop is easier and better etc.

Just to mention a few tips. Nice post and thanks again.

Happy guiding

Happy mapping

Cheers

@MarcoDavoli , can you please share the date of the rejected edits?

If the edits are rejected after 90 days (+/- two days) you should read Understanding rejected road modifications: how to turn a disappointment into an opportunity

For sure you will receive more and more rejections, but you can use them as a booster

Looks like you missed my post too, @SholaIB .

That’s funny, because I tagged you in there
