iOS Google Maps shows old names on 360 photos instead of new one

Hi.

If you’ve changed your name on your Google account (regardless of it’s time) anyone with iPhone can see your old one on you 360 photos if they tap on the little photo:

here’s an example (not mine):

But if you open the 360 from the photos tab, you’ll see the new one:

@MortenCopenhagen I remember seeing your previous Google alias on your 360 photo, I’ve seen this on any iphone I could check (10 at least)…

Hi @Kia_Faraji

Thanks for tagging me. But I don’t recall having changed my profile name, so maybe you have tagged the wrong person.

Cheers

@MortenCopenhagen

Here’s an example:

I could remove it immediately if it’s inconvenient.

Thanks, @Kia_Faraji

This is strange. Yes, please take it down here on Connect.

I will investigate further. My name seems OK on Android.

Thanks.

@MortenCopenhagen sorry for that, and when I go to your 360 through the photos tab of the place, it shows the new (correct) one.

Would you kindly care to take a look at this? Really strange. It showed me real name = and not my current alias when displayed as @Kia_Faraji described on IOS. But I changed my name years before I started taking any 360 photos.

Is this a known issue?

Cheers

Hi @ErmesT

I found the same bug with your profile name as well, And I personally changed my Google name years before publishing any 360 photos, but I have the same problem.

Hi @MortenCopenhagen , @Kia_Faraji

Sorry for being late on your tag. However, I have no way to check, as i am not on iOS., You did the right thing to escalate the issue to a @BorrisS , a Google Moderator, because this is not a kind of issue that a Local Guide can fix, or help to fix, and need to be raised up to the team

With the new update, the issue seems to be resolved.
