iOS Google Maps shows approval date as edited date

Hi.

On iOS, when a pending edit gets approval, it shows the approval date as the “edited” date.

example:

Approval email received on April 22

Edited on (solar date): Farvardin 18, 1400

Converted: April 7, 2021

On edits list, date of edit is Apr 22

iOS 14.1

Maps version 5.67

I’ve noticed the problem for some time, also on other iOS devices, clearing catch and signing out & in are already done.

This is correct @Kia_Faraji

It is not related to iOS. Google maps publish as “edit date” the date when the edit is applied in Maps, not the submission date.

In this way you have immediately the possibility to see that your edit has been applied, because it jump on the top of your edit list

Hi @ErmesT

Then what about the rejected edits, they also have the date of rejection as the date of edit (if it is rejected, therefore there’s no edit applied).

I mark the answer as the solution but I think they should have designed it more clear for the user.

thanks

Exactly, @Kia_Faraji

Is the date when Google “edit” the status of the edit.

I complained about the same indication a few days ago in one of my post, as it is confusing the users. I am preparing an idea for a change. I will share it with you

It will be great @ErmesT , you have my vote & support.

The ides is here, @Kia_Faraji

Information about the Edit Date need to be improved

Hope my idea is clear enough, but feel free to add your comments in there
