This time, I will introduce some of the “Hakata origins”.
Hakata Gion Yamakasa
This is probably one of the most famous of Hakata.
Unfortunately, this year it was postponed due to the coronavirus, but many people come to see it every year.
Yamakasa is the style commonly seen at festivals in northern Kyushu.
It would be great if you know that you can see it not only in Hakata, but also in Kurosaki and Tobata in Kitakyushu City, as well as in Sasaguri, Town Kasuya-gun, and Tosu City, Saga!
If you knew this, you are an authority on Hakata!
Udon, soba and manju all originated in Hakata!
Speaking of udon, Sanuki, Goto, and Inaniwa are famous, but Hakata Udon is not defeated.
The characteristics of Hakata Udon are fluffy, soft, chewy, and light noodle.
Many people eat it together with kashiwa rice (rice cooked with chicken), because even if you eat it, you will soon get hungry.
In Jotenji, monuments of udon, soba and manju are built.
Hakata Gion Yamakasa introduced earlier is said to have originated from Jotenji Temple.

私は今、福岡市博多区に住んでいます。
今回は「博多発祥」のものをいくつか紹介します。
博多祇園山笠
博多で最も有名なもののうちの1つがこれでしょう。
残念ながら今年はコロナウイルスの影響で延期となりましたが、毎年多くの方が見物に訪れます。
山笠はおもに北部九州での祭礼でみられるスタイルです。
博多だけではなく、北九州市の黒崎や戸畑、他にも糟屋郡篠栗町や佐賀県の鳥栖市など、
至るところで見られることを知っていただけると嬉しいです！
これを知っていたら、あなたは博多通！
うどん、そば、まんじゅうは全て博多発祥！
うどんといえば、讃岐、五島、稲庭が有名ですが、博多うどんだって負けていません。
博多うどんの特徴はふわふわして、柔らかく、もちもち、そして消化が良い麺です。
食べてもお腹がすぐに減ってしまうから、かしわごはん（鶏肉の炊き込みご飯）と一緒に食べる人が多いです。
承天寺にはうどん、そば、まんじゅうの碑が建てられています。
先ほど紹介した博多祇園山笠も承天寺が起源と言われています。
