3. What I love about being a Local Guide: The community. Their passion, love, and dedication are so inspiring. Being a part of this community has broadened my horizons and taught me that small actions matter, actions like adding a photo of a wheelchair ramp or reviewing a restaurant on Google Maps. I’ve learned that together, we can change the world. Helping folks find what they are looking for and supporting my favorite local businesses in the current COVID-19 situation is also why I’m proud to be a Local Guide, and I simply love it.
4. My favorite thing to explore: I love to explore food, music, and culture, but as my daughter grows up, I find myself checking Google Maps for playgrounds and places for children the most.
5. Fun Fact about me: Since I was little, I’ve been a fan of comic books, especially the Marvel series, and I’ve always dreamed of having superpowers. Finally, at 28 years old, I figured out mine: I make chocolate disappear.

I love Google and Google Maps from a long time and last few years i am also a member of Local Guides Connect!

Besides that love to make new friends, gardening is one my passion, i have 5 gardens at my house and office. Hello. This is all about me. I’m a Michigan native who loves exploring, eating, creating music, and making art (usually photographs). This doesn’t make me expert. Yet.
I’m fond of giving positive reviews of the places and showing beautiful photographs of things most people see as ugly. It’s a lovely skill. Every scrap of nature, even in a polluted setting, is uplifting. Scenes of nature and food rarely include people because they are frequently off the beaten path…or those photographed want me to pay for their publicity. I’m not in that kind of business.
For me, it’s fun to drink tea, inspire joy by surprising others with spontaneous kindness, create beauty, and volunteer. Being nearly blind since age 10 makes this no challenge because now, according to my best friend, I’m ‘old.’
Being a Local Guide is a perfect hobby for me because it’s such fun for an extremely hard of seeing person to tell others where to go. I also grow plants and entertain children, help hoarders organize things, help people overcome creatively, catch fish, conduct research, and make people laugh.
