Hi my name is Mohammed Sadat Abdulai from West Africa. I currently live in Accra but I travel a lot within Ghana, and have visited almost all 10 regional capitals of my country.
I love to share information with everyone, and once I know I am helping to make other peoples live a degree more comfortable by helping them find locations of places on Maps, I feel so good about it. I’m heavily involved in the access to knowledge movement for the past 7 years now and you’d often find me contributing daily to Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects in my free time for the past 7 years now where I have written 1000’s of articles about Ghana and Africa. And so to me, becoming a local guide was a natural progression for me when I realized I too could contribute to make Maps even better.
I believe ease of access to information is the key to solving many of the pertinent problems in the Global South where poverty, illiteracy and poor healthcare is still very rife. In cities that are not very orderly arranged, it’s quite difficult for people to find their way around, not only to fun places but also, to locations where they can access very necessary government services like the Tax and passport offices, or public amenities such as toilets and locations where they can report crime.
Why am I here:
I like to share reviews of my experiences places, so that people can make informed decisions before visiting those places. Trekking under the hot sun of West Africa and looking for a place isn’t an enjoyable adventure 
I wanted to help other people find their favorite locations without going through the same hassle I took to find them and so I begin to dig into the questions:
“Why isn’t [this] entity on Google Maps?” and
“Who actually is responsible for putting this on Google Maps?”
That how I stumbled upon the idea of becoming a Google Local Guide.
Fun Fact about me: My favorite color is sky blue and I love swimming in the sea. I believe I am the first vegetarian in the history of my family
